We are looking for a Commercial Manager for our Sales department in Kunming/Shanghai China.
Why is this your job?
You are accountable for delivering the budgeted sales and costs of Dümmen Orange China by effectively managing the sales team and licensees, handling key account management, and driving new business development. You will work closely with the marketing team to align on and deliver campaign plans and corporate marketing initiatives. Additionally, you are responsible for building and developing a team of professional salespeople who are customer-focused and disciplined in their sales delivery. You will also translate our corporate identity, image, and brand values into the Chinese cooperation and market, and act as a representative of the China Leadership Team.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
• Manage the sales team and optimize relations with key accounts (directly or through the team). Establish KPIs and conduct performance management in line with company procedures. Lead by example with a proactive attitude, strategic approach, and execution ability. Help/coach sales reps to set and achieve objectives in an organized manner.
• Ensure annual sales and cost budgets are achieved (covering cutting, license, and agent sales). Prepare ambitious yet realistic sales and cost plans for budgeting.
• Develop new business in strategic crops & markets. Support the China Leadership Team in building and implementing a China strategy.
• Utilize forecasting tools to predict annual demand and track performance. Prepare and present monthly sales performance reviews with regular updates.
• Build individual plans for each Key Account, linked to annual campaign plans. Work with the marketing team to develop and implement campaign plans, ensuring sales reps execute activities effectively.
• Consolidate market intelligence on competitors, industry trends, and product performance. Represent Dümmen Orange at industry forums as required.
• Prepare and chair sales meetings. Collaborate with internal experts to organize necessary support and expertise.
Who are you?
• You have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher education.
• You have 5 years of demonstrable work experience in a similar position.
• You are proficient in the English language.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in the agriculture or floral industry.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in global business and working with international or virtual teams.
